Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Alivia is an adorable 8-month-old kitten, looking for her forever home!
This pretty stripey girl is just looking for a human to love her forever. Reserved at first, once she sets her sights on being loved by you, she is friendly and attentive. She does need to get to know new friends before she shows her true personality, but it's well worth the wait, as she has lots of love to give.
She has a playful personality—her preference is for wand toys and her attention span is long; I promise your arm will get tired before she loses interest in playing! Once you put that wand down, her attention will turn to getting pets. If she's not rubbing against you for attention, she'll rest her chin on your lab and focus those big eyes on you until you show her some attention. She likes to climb on the back of the seat behind her foster mom and lean over to give kisses on her cheek.
Her energy is in the mid-range. She still has the youthful playfulness, but she spends plenty of time watching birds through the window, checking out what her littermates are doing and exploring the room to make sure she's not missing anything.
Alivia’s foster home has two adults and two older children. She arrived with her two littermates and due to their overall shyness, they have been living separately from the resident cats.
Her ideal home would be with one or both of her littermates (Anse or Lambrini), or another friendly young resident cat to show her the ropes. She would likely do better with older children or those that are willing to be patient while she becomes accustomed to a new place and new family. This beautiful girl hasn’t met any dogs yet.
If you’re ready to add some beauty to your life this spring, consider adding Alivia (and maybe Anse and/or Lambrini too?) to your family!
Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Please fill out Pet Haven’s adoption application: http://bit.ly/2fd9U2Fpethavenmnwww..org/adopt.
All ages and breeds are a best estimate. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow-up visits.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
