An already sterilized animal may be adopted to anywhere in VA, greatly increasing their chances of finding a home. Every bit helps. $10 will buy a rabies shot for the adoption stand. $35-60 will neuter or spay an animal. $15-20 will get them a distemper combo vacc or HW test.

Licensing: Returning pets to their owners is very important to us. We strive to get every dog licensed in New Kent Co. Licensing your dog will help protect him/her from becoming just another statistic. Annual license fee is only $6.00, if you have not purchased your 2011 County License, please do so right away, it's the law!!! Please help us increase the number of pets returned to their owners; keep the County License fastened on your dog's collar. If you lose your tag a replacement is available from the Treasurer's Office for the cost of $1.
