Abigail and her brother were rescued from the streets of South Texas. Shortly after she came into our care, she was diagnosed with canine parvovirus. Our rescue immediately gave her the best treatment available and Abigail fought and survived! She is now healthy and getting stronger every day.
Abigail is estimated to be around 3 months old. In typical puppy fashion, she is playful, energetic, and is learning new things every single day. She is currently receiving treatment for her eye as our veterinarians are working to determine the cause, however it is not contagious.
Abigail is looking for a home that will give her lots of patience and love. She would thrive with an adult dog to show her the ropes! Her adopters should be prepared to continue basic puppy training including potty training, crate training, and leash training.
Abigail currently lives with other dogs in her foster home and has done well with dogs of all sizes. While we do not know her specific breed mix, we believe Abigail will be small to medium size when fully grown.
If you are ready to add this sweet, loving girl into your family, please fill out the adoption application listed on our website www.savingsouthtexas.com/adoptables

All applicants complete an application and are interviewed. We then complete all references and do a home visit. Permitting approval, we schedule a time to meet the pet(s) the applicant is interested in. Once a match has been found, we complete adoption contracts and adoption donation. We reserve the right to deny applicants for a particular animal if we feel it is not a good fit. We will suggest an animal that better matches the adopter's needs.
