My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Silver Screen Star!

Ladies and gentlemen, step right up and meet the leading man you’ve been waiting for—Silver Screen Star! This dashing silver tabby kitten may be the only boy in his sibling group, but he’s got enough charm to outshine even the biggest Hollywood legends. With his sleek coat and handsome features, Silver Screen Star is the feline equivalent of a Hollywood heartthrob—think Cary Grant meets Gary Cooper, but with a little more sass.

This boy knows what it takes to be a star. By day, he’s the leading man in all the action scenes, romping and playing with his sisters as though the cameras are rolling. Toys? He’s always ready for the next big scene! But when the lights dim and the action fades, don’t expect him to vanish—this kitten knows how to step into the role of a heartthrob in the love scene. A cuddle with Silver Screen Star is like getting swept away by a classic romance—he’ll curl up in your arms and win your heart with just one purr.

Silver Screen Star is sweet, a little sassy, and always ready for his close-up. His good looks and endearing personality make him the perfect star for any family looking for a little glamour in their lives. Just like the legends of the silver screen, he’s got that kind of magic—making you fall in love every time he flashes that captivating gaze.

Silver Screen Star—A true classic in the making!

IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.

Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport

We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.March 5, 2025, 5:56 am

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
