Meet Winnie!

This sweet all-black kitty came to the Mission from our partners at SCRAPS. Winnie has an estimated birthdate of 04/23/2021.

Winnie is still coming out of her shell in her foster home, and is working on learning confidence. She's okay with other cats, but it's unknown how she would respond to a dog or child, allthough we suspect with time and proper introductions she would do fine. Winnie will take a little while to warm up to her new forever family, but she's very sweet once she does!

Winnie's adoption fee is $50. She comes home spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. If you're interested in taking the next step in adoption, please visit our website and submit an application at www.murcismission.org.

Adopters in the Spokane area can expect to meet the pet during the homecheck. Others will arrange a meet and greet.

Once your application has been received, we will evaluate it as a potential match for the given animal and, if your application is selected, we will proceed to call your references and then conclude with a home check and meet and greet scheduled by you at your home. For applicants out of area, the home check may be conducted via video call before the meet and greet.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
