Meet Quicksilver!

This gorgeous gray gentleman came to the Mission from our friends at SCRAPS. He was ready to jailbreak out of the shelter for some more comfortable digs in foster. Now, he's ready to plant his paws and spend time with his forever family.

Quicksilver has an estimated birthdate of 3/4/2020. He would do very well in a home with dogs or children, as he is very affecitonate. He needs a lot of time to warm up to new cats, however, and can become aggressive towards them if introduced too quickly. He would do best in a home with a cat-savy-cat, or no other cats.

Quicksilver's adoption fee is $50, and he comes neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped! To begin the adoption process, please start by filling out an application at www.murcismission.org.

Adopters in the Spokane area can expect to meet the pet during the homecheck. Others will arrange a meet and greet.

Once your application has been received, we will evaluate it as a potential match for the given animal and, if your application is selected, we will proceed to call your references and then conclude with a home check and meet and greet scheduled by you at your home. For applicants out of area, the home check may be conducted via video call before the meet and greet.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
