My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5679290 Meet Gus Gus! T his 7-month-old Cattle Dog / Pointer mix is the definition of cartoonishly cute, with his soft white fur and perfectly placed tan spots, plus a super swirly, always-wagging tail! He’s the happiest boy around, radiating cheer and joy wherever he goes. Gus Gus has a bright, bouncy personality and is full of energy – the perfect playmate for an active home. He’s still working on learning his manners and could use some puppy basics training, but with a little guidance, he’ll be the best boy! He’s even shown he can be appropriate through the fence with other dogs, so he may make a great pup sibling with the right introductions. This little boy is the perfect puppy package - come add him to your family today!

  • 7 month old white and brown Cattle Dog / Pointer mix puppy

  • 45 pound neutered male

  • Up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today!

  • Came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 2/12/25 as a stray

  • Cartoonishly cute good looks - mostly white with perfectly placed tan spots scattered across his body, with a super swirly, always wagging tail

  • The happiest of boys, just radiates cheer and joy wherever he goes

  • Bright and bouncy personality - rambunctious and lively

  • Working on learning his manners with both people and pups, so needs all the puppy basics training-wise

  • Was appropriate through the fence with another dog, so may be a good pup sibling with the right training and introductions

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
