My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pickles.
Pickles is a young tabby who is now around 7 months old. She is extremely sweet and has been raised in a loving home since she was just a few days old.
When you look at Pickles, she looks like any other tabby- playful, healthy and always ready for her next adventure. Pickles, however, has tested positive for the feline leukemia virus, which affects between 2-3% of all cats in the country. There is a lot of information online about FeLV and it can be overwhelming trying to understand the implications for affected cats. There are basically no hard rules as it affects all cats differently. Some are severely immuno-compromised and live short lives while others can survive for many years, without any harmful symptoms. As it is contagious to other cats, it is recommended that FeLV cats be the only cat in the home or that they be housed with other FeLV positive cats. We know that the right family is out there for Pickles. We just need to find them.

More about this rescue

We assist shelters and find homes for their adoptable pets.
We take professional photos, write bios and post to adoption websites.
We also provide funds for medical care, foster animals and find foster families .We organize adoption events and give presentations to schools on the importance of spaying /neutering and vaccinating animals.
For the last 12 years, we have been working with several small rural shelters who have limited space and would have to euthanize due to lack of space. We pull their animals and get them into foster homes until we find their forever homes.
We devote many hours to getting animals out of shelters and into foster and permanent homes.
