Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BUZZ ~~ Domestic Shorthair, Neutered Male, Black & White Tuxedo, 9.5 pounds,
DOB: 7/15/2014, Special Needs Kitty
You have GOT TO meet this guy! He spends his days in our reception area greeting everyone that comes to pet him. He absolutely LOVES AND CRAVES attention from everyone and would be the best lap cat ever. He sleeps by our side (in a bed nestled in a drawer) as we check clients and their pets in and out all day long. Buzz is absolutely PURRRFECT in every way!
Meet our handsome boy, Buzz. He is absolutely and without a doubt, the sweetest kitty you will ever meet! So much love and personality in this guy. If you are looking for a “velcro” kitty to keep you company and share your life with, Buzz is your guy. This kitty is super sweet and loves giving and receiving attention from everyone who walks by. He sticks his paw out of his cage to get your attention and meows until you pet him. He makes biscuits and does not know what a stranger is. He is learning to give us his paw for treats and should have this trick mastered in no time! Buzz also enjoys several daily leash walks around the clinic, which always impress everyone he meets.
Buzz is eligible for our Seniors for Seniors Adoption Program, so if you are a senior citizen yourself and would like to adopt him, we will waive his adoption fee and give you a 20% discount on future vet services, food, medications, etc., if purchased from us.
His adoption fee is $144 and includes a HomeAgain microchip and one month of Revolution Plus to go home (for heartworms, fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites and ear mites).
OTHER PETS/KIDS? Buzz may do well with calm and non-aggressive pets in the home. Being chased by another pet would not be suitable for Buzz, as he can be unsteady on his feet. We always recommend a slow and controlled introduction for a week or two. Buzz should be fine with children as well.
MEDICAL: Buzz has a negative fecal test and combo test and has begun his vaccines and other vet services. He will come to his new home with one month of Feline Revolution Plus for heartworms, fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites and ear mites. Any additional vaccines are not included in his adoption fee and are the sole financial responsibility of his new owner.
SPECIAL NEEDS: Buzz needs to be an indoor only pet. Buzz does have some neurological deficits that make him a little unsteady on his feet, but those small issues do not slow him down in the least. His quirks just make him that much more lovable!! Buzz just wants to love you and be loved in return.
To meet Buzz, visit him at Crabapple Knoll Vet Clinic, 12604 Crabapple Road, Alpharetta, GA. 770.475.8272. Please visit at least two hours prior to closing. Monday to Friday 630AM to 7PM, Saturday and Sunday 8AM to 4PM. We are closed on all major holidays. Please visit at least two hours prior to closing to meet any of our adoptable strays.

Our goal is to find good homes for all of the sick and injured pets we have, and to adopt them out in the best health possible. Each pet is fully vetted and cared for by our amazing Veterinary Staff! Our adoption fee is $130, which includes a spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccines, and a microchip. We offer a two week trial period, during which time you may return the pet for a full refund if the placement does not work out. We will accept a pet back after two weeks, but no refund will be issued. If a pet is returned after a longer time period we may require a $130 relinquishment fee. We do not perform home visits or have any particular adoption requirements, such as fenced yard. We do, however, reserve the right to turn down potential adopters if we feel like it will not be in the best interest of the pet.

More about this rescue
Our Stray Program began in 1988, with one dog named Redman. He was rescued by a client who indicated that he had belonged to a homeless man. The man had since disappeared, and the red Chow was ill and now living on his own. We brought him to our Clinic and named him Redman. He tested heartworm positive, was treated for that condition and was also neutered. One of our Veterinarians fell in love and adopted him. Unfortunately, Redman did not live long due to heartworm disease, but enjoyed several great years with his new owner. It was because of Redman that our Stray Program for sick and injured animals came to fruition. We began a fund to support the Program and, since then, have found many sick and injured pets their forever homes! Thanks to Dr. Joe Gaston, we are able to continue our work to help sick and injured strays, and have the opportunity to give back to our pet community!
