Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi everyone, my name is Grace, and I was recently taken into the rescue along with my friend Dexter who is posted separately from a very sad situation. I was kept in a box outside for four long years with nothing besides the box itself. No hay, no toys and no friends. The person who previously owned me only took me out when it was time to breed and then I was put back inside the box. Sounds like torture does it not?
After my babies were born and weaned, they were taken away and sadly killed to feed my previous owner. As you can imagine I am a very nervous bun. No aggression whatsoever just timid of human touch. Since arriving to the rescue I have a nice big xpen, lots of soft fleece blankets and lots of toys. I am loving the good life of living indoors and now flop on my side to rest and relax. Unfortunately, on top of everything else I have gone through I am also blind in one eye.
I have been seen by a vet and have a clean bill of health and have wonderful litterbox habits. I am a big girl and weigh 10 lbs. I am finally starting to put on some muscle mass because I was not really able to move around much before arriving. I am now spayed so no more babies for me!!!
I would be great in a quieter home and possibly someone that has had previous bun experience to have the time and patience that I would need to fully come out of my shell. Too much noise and chaos would be a bit too much for me.
I am eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Timothy Pellets, lots of timothy hay and a big bowl of fresh water. I love all greens and please do not forget my treats.
Would you consider opening your heart and home to a much-deserved girl like me?
