My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Topper is 2 years old and an all-around good fella. He got a bad break when the chicken plant closed in Noel, MO, and his family abruptly left town presumably after losing their job but left poor Topper behind. Topper lived outside in the streets for several months, fed by a kind soul. A Noel resident took him in for many months, and Huckleberry Rescue acquired him when the Noel caretaker encountered health issues. Topper is good on a leash. He pulls a little but responds to a prong collar and slows down. He likes to play with other dogs and has lived with a cat. He sleeps peacefully all night and appears to be fully house trained. His favorite toys are the large Kongs stuffed with goodies. Topper is neutered, fully vaccinated, HW negative, and microchipped!

I'm Your Huckleberry Rescue, Inc. is a 501(3)(c) non profit corporation located in Pineville, MO. Incorporated in 2017 with the goal of finding permanent homes for lost, injured, abandoned and surrendered dogs and cats in Mc Donald and Newton counties. All animals are given a health check, vaccinations, heartworm test and neutered before being placed. Currently consist of a network of foster homes.
