Hi! I'm Mayvis, and my favorite things in the world are kids and puppies! I would love to have a mom too! Or two! It will take me a few days to let the adults in the house pick me up without trying to hide. But I will still show them my cutest and goofiest moves and will give them lots of kisses, during the first days. If I get to have a dad, well, he will have to be very patient. It has taken me a couple of weeks to let my foster dad touch me. But if you ask me, I wouldn't want him to pick me up, at least not yet. But we're slowly getting used to each other. Anyhow, what was I saying? Oh yeah! I'm so ready to find my own family! I have a repertoire of squicky, dog, cat, bird, and 'you name it' sounds! I'm super smart, athletic, loving, cuddly, playful, healthy, alert, communicative, among other things! My foster mom says that I will make the most wonderful family pet. She also says that 'baby talk' works like magic with me. At least the first week, it was her trick to help me through the transition. I'm pad-trained, but I'm close to becoming house-trained. I'm also good on a leash, and I love going for walks! When I growl at strangers while on a walk, my foster mom reminds me that I'm safe, and I calm down quickly.I can play with any dog toy, regardless of size or shape. I calmly sleep in my crate through the night, and I like all kinds of dog food. I love sharing my food and toys with other dogs. My foster sis is a rambunctious and giant dog and I love her. But for my safety, I need to live with dogs closer to my size. Recent scores:Bath-EasyNail trimming-Easy Tooth brushing-EasyGetting harness on-Easy Training basic commands-Okay Weight: 11lbs. Safety Needs- Secure yard and harness Note: Mayvis went through a lot before she came to the Church of Pug. She has made a world of progress towards trusting humans again. She is still a puppy full of joy and ready to bond with her new family.

Additional adoption info
Thank you for your interest in adopting from Church of Pug.
Everyone at Church of Pug is a volunteer. We wear many hats - we foster pugs, travel to vet appointments, attend fundraising events, process a lot of paperwork, and more. We make every effort to respond to inquiries in a timely manner but often the days get away from us. For this reason, we will do our best to reach out to everyone. We’ll let you know your application has been received either through a phone call, text or email.
PLEASE take your time completing the below application and fill out questions in detail! This is the information our adoption team will use to make initial determinations when selecting applicants to proceed in the interview process as dogs become available and we begin the process of finding its forever family.
READ the information on each dog's biography page carefully. If you are interested in applying to adopt a dog, please ensure you meet the stated requirements. All of these dogs live with our foster families and that means we know their story -- we understand what they have been through and what they need in a forever home. All decisions are made with the dogs' best interests in mind.
