Meet Liath!

Liath started life on a rough note, found abandoned on the side of the road with her five siblings. But she hasn’t let that define her! Since then, she’s grown into her ears (well… mostly) and continues to grow in both size and confidence every day.

This girl is BIG—both in stature and in spirit. She’s got the energy of a bunny twice her size and a love for extreme interior design (otherwise known as "bunstruction"). Rearranging her space is one of her favorite hobbies, and she will need plenty of room to stretch those powerful legs and zoom to her heart’s content.

Liath is still working on the concept of "No" (but honestly, does any bunny truly take that word seriously?). She’s a smart girl, though, and will keep you on your toes with her playful antics. Since her spay, she’s improving on her litter box habits and will no doubt master them soon.

Liath is looking for a family who understands what it means to raise a big baby—one who has experience with large rabbits and can provide her with the space, enrichment, and love she needs. If you’re ready for a bold, curious, and endlessly entertaining bun in your life, Liath is ready to meet you!

We only adopt to indoor homes. We ask for a donation of $120 for a single rabbit and $220 for a bonded pair (a trio is $300). Bonded pairs cannot be split up and must be adopted together. If you are interested, please fill out an Adoption Application.

More about this rescue

The House Rabbit Network is an organization formed with two primary purposes:
To rescue homeless rabbits and find them good indoor homes and also
to educate the public about rabbits and their care. These activities may include:
• providing foster care for discarded domestic rabbits and arranging for adoption to permanent indoor homes;

• assisting humane societies and shelters with rabbits;

• providing spay/neuter surgery and veterinary care through arrangements with area practitioners;

• rehabilitating and socializing mistreated or neglected animals;

• permanently caring for animals who cannot be placed in adoptive homes due to serious health or behavioral problems; and

• educating the public on responsible pet ownership and humane practices.
