How this pet arrived:
Dexter was brought in by his previous owner on February 15, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Dexter is a sweet and active guy looking for a family that can appreciate his playful nature and give him the space he needs to warm up. He can be shy at first and a bit uncomfortable with the vet, so a Fear Free vet approach would be best for him. Dexter can be reactive on a leash when encountering other dogs (think barking and pulling), but he has lived with other dogs before and has a positive social history with them. He's a squirrel-chasing enthusiast and loves frolicking in the water or going on long hikes. Dexter is potty trained and has a positive history with kids, making him a fun, adventurous addition to an active family!

At SDHS:
Dexter has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Dexter is now ready for their new home!
