Blu is a very sweet four-year-old boy.
When he came to us as a stray, we thought he was blind due to untreated glaucoma. After going to an eye specialist, we discovered that Blu’s blindness was caused by a blood born disease carried by a tick!! The Doxycycline he was on for a month took care of both the tick disease as well as his heart worms. Blu is light positive and will come with 10 months of preventatives to continue his slow kill treatment.
Blu's loss of sight has not even slowed this smart boy down. He loves walks, toys and wrestling with his foster brother. Blu learned to use a dog door quickly and knows how to ring the bells at his current foster home to get someone to open the door! He has learned his way around two foster homes and though it may take a couple days, Blu will get used to his forever home.
Blu is a love bug and enjoys snuggling with his person. He will be a wonderful addition to any family.
