I was only looking for 1 dog. When I expressed interest in her brother (the only one posted for rehoming), the owner mentioned she was bonded. They were supposed to be bell trained to go outside, no aggression except for barking at strangers that come to the house, and good with cats. My 2 sons (7 and 11) and I won them over outside their house, at 8:30pm, with a couple milk bones and within 15mins drove 3 hours home with them. No signs of aggression. Within a week, both of my sitters quit after 1st meetings as they showed reactivity towards them. I sent them to a boarded training program for 8 weeks which was a huge mistake. They have been back for 2 weeks and their behavior is not any better and now they have major potty training regression. I can’t afford the in home training for both that they need. We already love her; she is such a snuggle bug, but it’s too much for a single mom that works full time. They both are significantly better behaved 1 on 1.
