Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Charlie – A One-of-a-Kind Little Survivor!
Charlie is a small but mighty orange tabby with a heart as big as his purr! Found all alone in the basement of a church, he has overcome challenges with resilience and a playful spirit. Charlie has a very mild case of Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), which makes him a little wobbly—he walks in circles and has a slight lean—but it doesn’t slow him down! He can run, jump, climb cat trees and couches, and even use fabric pet stairs like a pro.
One of Charlie’s most striking features is his heterochromia—one brilliant blue eye and one vibrant green eye. This unique trait doesn’t affect his vision, but it certainly adds to his charm! He also has a healed tail injury from his early days, which doesn’t cause him any discomfort—it just makes him even more special.
Charlie is full of energy and loves playing with his foster friends and the resident puppy. He would do best in a home with another animal companion to keep him company. When playtime is over, he’ll reward you with the loudest purrs before curling up for a long, cozy nap.
If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and truly one-of-a-kind kitty, Charlie is ready to fill your home with love and joy!
Charlie is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
