Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please say hello to this gorgeous beauty we are naming Westlyn! Westlyn arrived at the shelter through no fault of her own on 2/21 because she got lost on a great adventure to finding her way home. The volunteers describe her as a beautiful, wonderful dog who is as sweet as pie, cute, very energetic, playful, beautiful and obedient. We love her ears! She is super intelligent as she knows simple commands such as sitting pretty well when asked. She may know more if you would just give her a chance. She is eager to please and a natural at learning new things. She has a lot of energy to burn so an active family would be ideal for Westlyn. Take her on awesome adventures so she can have the best memories ever with the one she has been searching for all of her life--YOU!! She is also a breed that will need daily activities and mental stimulation so she does not end up in the shelter ever again. All Westlyn is asking for is for you to save her life and let her live her life the way she should...happy, loved, wanted, and appreciated everyday of her life.
Westlyn is current on vaccines, spayed and micro-chipped. Westlyn is a nice size of 25 pounds and she is just a 8 months old. So she is still pretty young. Just a baby. She is more than ready to meet her new family. You will find Westlyn patiently waiting for you in Run 315. Westlyn' s ID# is 8294. Sadly she has tested positive for heartworms, but with treatment, she should be good as new in no time. Treated dogs usually go on to live a normal, healthy life.
Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER.
This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
