Roses are red, Violets are blue, and this sweet girl is waiting for you! Violet is a 3 year, 46 pound mix - possibly heeler, lab, and/or catahoula. Your guess is as good as ours!

Violet was picked up as a stray and taken to a shelter where she was initially very shy and timid. That all changed once one of our Texas rescue partners pulled her out. She’s now in a foster home and thriving. She is a very friendly pup and acts submissive to other dogs.

Personality: friendly, playful, affectionate
Good with: people of all ages (including kids), and dogs. Has not been cat tested yet.
Training: unknown at this time
Estimated age: 3 years
Current weight: 46 pounds
Medical: Up to date on vaccinations, not yet spayed.
Location: Violet is currently located with a foster in Texas, but if adopted, will come to the NJ area on our next transport.

If approved, a Meet and Greet is scheduled or transport pickup is confirmed.

Adopter gets a new "Friend for Life" and a pup has been saved.

We strive to find the best fit for the adopter and the dog.
Dogs fostered in Texas arrive on transport and go home on arrival.
Dogs fostered in PA, NJ, and NY areas can have a meet and greet after potential adopters' applications are approved.

Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, volunteer-run, foster-based Rescue (no facility).

Our focus is to save the lives of dogs and puppies in high-kill shelters in the south and local owner surrenders.

Our mission is to place unwanted and in-danger animals in homes, regardless of age or breed. To educate the public and help stop animal cruelty and neglect.

We don't discriminate against potential adopters on any basis or for any reason. We approve potential adopters if they are and the animal they applied for is a good fit.

*If a dog is listed on Adopt a Pet, they are still available, and we accept applications. We approve applications on the best fit for both dog and family.
*We take our best guess on breed and size when fully grown.
* Our dogs are adopted from their foster home or straight from transport from kill shelters in the south.
