Meet Hattie!

Sweet Hattie was surrendered to a busy shelter by her family for being a senior dog. Hattie has been understandably nervous while with us. She does love to be pet and picked up but has not developed the confidence to seek it out herself yet. Hattie will need an adopter who can allow her the time to feel safe and come out of her shell. We think having another gentle, well balanced dog in the home would benefit her as well.

Hattie is very food motivated and is easy to win over with some yummy treats, she has been brave and explored her new surroundings outside on leash and is comfortable in a crate. We love seeing this girl settle in each day, be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! IF your application is selected as a match for a dog, we will reach out to your references and request a home tour video.

3.
Meet the Pet

IF your references and home tour video are approved, you will be invited out to our rescue location to meet our dog(s).

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

IF the meet & greet goes well, you will be asked to pay the adoption fee, sign the contract, and are ready to take your new dog home!

Additional adoption info

Please note, we have a thorough adoption process in order to make the best match possible for both our dogs and our adopters! There are times when we schedule a few meet & greets for one dog prior to making a final decision.
