My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cash is a bit uncertain around new people and situations, but once he warms up, he's such a fun, playful guy! He gets along well with the other small dogs in his foster home, and like a good boy, he avoids any dogs who are confrontational with him.

He loves to climb into your lap for snuggles and enjoys playing with his toys. Cash is still working on potty training but is doing very well. Young children are scary to him, so he'll feel most comfortable in a calmer home environment.

Cash does great on leash, doesn't bark at passing dogs or people, and would make a great walking/running buddy! He's a generally nervous fella and avoidant of strangers in public settings, he looks to his person for comfort and guidance!

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also partner with Ziggy's Cat Lounge in Bremerton for our cats and kittens.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America.
