All About Me
Hi, I’m Taesan! I’m a young and affectionate Samoyed-Jindo mix with a fluffy white and beige coat. At just under a year old, I already weigh 15kg (33lb), and I have a gentle yet curious personality. My early life was tough—I was raised on a cart by an elderly man who struggled to care for me, but thanks to kind people in my community, I was rescued and given a fresh start. Now, I’m looking for a loving home where I can continue to grow into the loyal and affectionate companion I’m meant to be.
My Personality
I am incredibly people-oriented and love forming close bonds. I recognize my name very well—when someone calls me, I know they care about me, and I respond happily. However, if I sense someone isn’t paying attention to me, I tend to stay neutral and don’t seek them out. New environments can make me a little cautious at first, and I may need a bit of time to adjust. However, if I have a familiar person with me, I feel safe and can confidently explore my surroundings.
Social Skills
I get along well with other dogs, especially those I spend time with regularly. When meeting a new dog, I may get a little excited, and my reaction depends on the other dog’s energy. I enjoy social interactions but may need a calm and controlled introduction to unfamiliar dogs. When I see a cat outside, I get very interested and may try to chase it. I haven’t been tested with indoor cats yet.
Energy and Activities
I have a moderate energy level—I love my outdoor time but can also settle down when needed. I walk well on a leash and don’t pull excessively, but if I do get excited, I respond quickly when called and adjust my pace to match my handler. I need some help getting into a car, but once I’m inside, I’m very well-behaved and stay quiet throughout the ride. When it’s time to get out, I can hop down on my own.
Training and Habits
I am food-motivated and respond well to positive reinforcement. I already know commands like sit and wait, and I enjoy training sessions. My future family can use treats to help me feel more comfortable and build a stronger bond with me. I am house-trained and prefer going to the bathroom outside. I don’t guard my food or toys and am polite when eating, even around people and other dogs. I rarely bark, making me a quiet and well-mannered companion.
My Ideal Home
I would thrive in a home where I have a patient and understanding family that gives me time to adjust. In a new environment, I may feel a little unsure at first, and I might even try to escape if I feel overwhelmed, so my adopters should ensure a secure space while I settle in. Within a few hours to a few days, I will begin to show my affectionate side and warm up completely. If my new family enjoys the outdoors and wants a loyal companion to share their adventures, I would be the perfect match. A home with another friendly and calm dog would be great, but I can also be happy as the only dog as long as I get plenty of human interaction.
Special Notes
I am a sweet and intelligent dog who needs a little patience at first but quickly becomes a loving and affectionate companion. I form deep bonds with my people and love having a sense of security. If you’re looking for a loyal and gentle dog who will thrive with love and guidance, I might be the perfect fit for your home. I can’t wait to meet my forever family!
