My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lu is a beautiful, tri-color little girl who at 10 weeks old is about 13 lbs. She is your typical puppy, energetic and ready to play! There is just so much to see and do. She's happy to give you kisses, then it's off to run around and investigate. She loves playing with her siblings and with momma, and has a rough-and-tumble style of play. She's hoping to find a home with a family that wants to play with her and go for lots of walks or running around in the back yard.

Lu is a hound mix. Momma dog is a 49 lb. hound mix that looks to have a good bit of basset hound and beagle in her. Dad is an unknown, but is thought to be bigger than momma dog. Based on Lu's current weight, we're estimating she may be somewhere between 60 and 80 lbs. when full grown.

Everyone MUST submit an application to be considered for adoption

Interview

We will talk to you and your references to get a feel of what you're looking for in a pet and if the particular pet would be a good fit

This is required. We want to see where the pet will be living and it gives us an opportunity to meet you!

A meet and greet will be arranged after you have been approved as an applicant

More about this rescue

Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3), foster based, non-profit animal rescue located in the Pgh area. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless, abused and/or unwanted dogs and cats.

We are run solely by volunteers with the goal of providing vet care, socialization skills and nutritional needs while living in a loving foster home. All animals that enter into the rescue will receive appropriate vet care, spay/neuter, vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Our goal is to assure a loving, forever home for each one of our animals. Paws Across Pittsburgh strongly believes in Force Free training methods for our animals.
