Poppins came to the rescue after being taken in from a sad situation. An elderly woman with dementia was caring for 5 adults cats who were all not spayed or neutered that reproduced and added in 10 kittens. After some time, their caretaker had to go into assisted living and she wanted the cats to land somewhere safe. She showed them so much love and all the cats were extremely friendly and healthy. We took all 15 cats and are searching for homes for them.
This adorable little man is 7 months old, and nothing but love and kitten chaos!
We named Poppins after the “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” character Poppins for good reason.
Poppins is a quirky little dude with a zest for life! He will always greet you as soon as he sees you, loves to follow you around, and is very socially oriented with both animals and his people. Even though companionship is mostly what he wants, Poppins is still PACKED full of energy! This guy loves to zip and zoom around. He appreciates playing with any cat toy or toy like object he can find. Crinkle toys, springs, and kick toys are paws down his favorite.
When meeting new people, Poppins initially may be reserved, but he does come around quickly and will soon enough flop on his back for belly rubs from his new friend. When he warms up to you, Poppins will happily come sit on your lap for some TV time or take a nice cat nap with you. When he develops a bond with you, every chance Poppins gets he's rubbing all over your legs or climbing in your face to get snuggles and love.
In his foster home, Poppins is socialized with other cats and has been around dogs. Poppins can go to an only pet home, but he would also love another friend to have around.
Poppins has been neutered, microchipped, has his rabies and FVRCP vaccines, has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and has been treated for all parasites.
