Meet Paloma, a basfhful 1 1/2 year old Husky/Lab mix that was recently surrendered to our facility. Paloma (and several other dogs) previously lived on a ranch but unfortunately, the owner passed away. Their new caregiver was unable to take care of them and asked for our help to find them forever homes. The group was in rough shape: under socialized, couldn`t walk on a leash, and smell foul of feces and urine. With the help of staff and our volunteers, they have FLOURISHED and have made great strides already. Paloma was quite nervous when she first arrived but has since started to come out of her shell since being with other dogs. Paloma would do phenomenal in a home with another dog that can keep her company and ease her nervousness. It just takes her a moment and then she will approach you for treats and pets. Paloma is a squishy polar bear of a dog and we cannot wait for her confidence to build! Her adoption fee is $235, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, heartworm test, current flea/heartworm prevention, registered microchip, and spay.
