Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Wilbur's a great dog- a really great dog: he's friendly and house-trained (goes to the door when he wants out to potty and goes to his bowl when he wants to eat).
Wilbur had to have had an owner prior to ending up at our city's packed shelter, Animal Services. He arrived at the shelter, confused, sad, yet fat, neutered and trained- someone had have him, yet no one went to reclaim him. Perhaps his owner passed away? Or put him out due to some extreme life circumstance?
We'll probably never know why or how Wilbur lost his home... but however it happened, it was clearly through no fault of his own. This rescue firmly believes that 'pets are for life,' and we want Wilbur's new adoptive owner to believe and live that too.
Think you can give Wilbur a great home? Then reach out to schedule a phone chat, meet and greet, and hopefully an adoption.
Respond via this listing or you may text me to schedule a phone chat at 502-309-4155.
Also, Wilbur's working on losing some weight, he, like all dogs, needs a daily walk.
He could even be a great first dog for someone since he's an 'easy dog.'
Thank You,
Jessica
