Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pellets: 1/4 cup Adult Oxbow Essentials (AM)
Hay: Unlimited mixed hay (All day)
Salad: 1x/day 1 cup spring mix, romaine lettuce, cilantro, parsley
Griffin is a resilient rabbit with a remarkable journey. Originally adopted in 2019, he was sadly returned this year when his owner couldn’t afford treatment for a painful abscess. His dental struggles began in 2021 when an infection led to the removal of most of his left-side teeth, with the rest removed over time. Despite this, Griffin eats just fine and continues to thrive. His devoted owner even transported him all the way from Portland, OR, to San Diego to ensure he got the care he needed. Now, under the loving care of one of our amazing fosters, Griffin is happy, healthy, and ready for his next adventure! While he may need occasional dental checkups, he’s currently doing great and loving life.
Neutered 05/21/19
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. The virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit. Please make sure to vaccinate your rabbits every year. For more information, please visit our website at: https://sandiegorabbits.org/education/rhdv

More about this rescue
We are a volunteer-driven organization working in San Diego County for nearly 25 years. We want to ensure that rabbits are not adopted out unaltered, that they find good homes where they will be cherished as indoor family companions, and that we educate our community on the responsible care of indoor rabbit companions.
