My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peep – The Window Watcher Turned Lap Lover! Peep’s journey to indoor life started in the most fitting way—by peeping into the windows of our Cat Coordinator’s home, watching her feed her own cats as if dreaming of being part of the family. But life hadn’t been kind to Peep; he had a substantial wound on his face, so we immediately trapped him and got him the care he desperately needed. Now, his wound is healing beautifully, and he’s learning what it means to be safe, loved, and warm.
Peep is FIV positive, but don’t let that scare you! He’s great with other cats and, after some initial hissing and adjustments, settles in well—especially when he has a trusted human to give him confidence. He’d be happy in a home with other calm and respectful cats, whether they have FIV or not, or as the only feline in the household.
At first, Peep can be shy, so he needs an adopter experienced with giving nervous kitties time to adjust. But once he trusts you? He becomes the ultimate lap cat. We’re talking full-on biscuit-making, velcro-kitty energy. He will settle into your lap so completely that you’ll feel terrible having to get up—even for just a bathroom break! Peep needs a human dedicated to starting the acclimation process in a room with minimal hiding places, as he will squeeze himself into even the most obscure hiding spots when scared.
Peep is still getting used to indoor life and hasn’t shown much interest in toys or treats yet, but with patience, that will come. What he does know is that he never wants to be outside again. He longed for a home, and now he’s looking for the right person to give him one—a safe, loving, and patient home that will keep him secure, just like he always wanted when he was watching from the outside.
