Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful pair of female Plott Hound mixes (Hexa and Lila) are currently at Boxers Bed & Biscuits in Belpre Ohio where they are enjoying an out-of-shelter ‘vacation’ thanks to the generosity of a group of dedicated HSOV volunteers/supporters.

Hexa is about 2-years old. She has a brown/brindle coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with soulful brown eyes, a black button nose, and large floppy ears.

Lila is about 3-years old. She has a shiny dark brown/brindle-and-white coat, white paws, a long tail, and a lovely symmetrically-marked face with a black velvet nose, a slender muzzle, and large semi-erect ears.

Both girls are medium-sized dogs. Hexa and Lila were spayed on January 13, 2025 and were given rabies vaccine.

Boxers Bed and Biscuits staff have provided these descriptions about the girls:

“Hexa is a little sweetie. She is treat-motivated, very trainable and great on a leash! With people she is very gentle and affectionate, with dogs she goes back to her puppy roots and gets very playful!”

“Lila is a highly intelligent lady who will learn any trick for a treat! She’s full of positive energy during play with both people and dogs! She’s very calm in her room, and loves when you join her for a cuddle!”

We hope that Hexa and Lila will find a fabulous home (either separately or together). They have quickly become best friends at Boxers Bed & Biscuits.

Update: Hexa and Lila thoroughly enjoyed their 'vacation' at Boxers Bed & Biscuits. They returned to HSOV on March 13, 2025 and are hoping that someone will offer them the home of their dreams. We know it is a 'let-down' to return to a crowded shelter after being treated to the luxury/freedom of being spoiled by the BB&B staff~

Hexa went home with a foster family on March 18, 2025 who plans to adopt her if all goes well.

Hexa was officially adopted by her foster family on (August 30, 2025).

Lila enjoyed a fabulous 4-week vacation at Boxers Bed & Biscuits from February 14th-March 13th 2025 .. And happy news a week or so later!

Lila went home with a foster family on March 21, 2025 where she will continue to be loved and spoiled to her heart's content.

Lila was officially adopted by her foster family on April 18, 2025.
