Local Adoption Guidelines
Step 1: Submit the Adoption Application.
Your application will be reviewed by our board. If approved, someone will contact you to move to the next step.
Step 2: Home/Yard Check/ Family meet
This is where we will come to your home and check for any safety hazards, potential fencing issues, behavior and health of current pets, behavior of others in the home. We may inquire further regarding the pet's sleeping arrangements, daily activities, feeding schedule, and more. We do not always bring pets with us for this visit. If approved you then move to step 3, or 4 if we bring the pet on step 2.
Step 3: Bring the pet to meet other pets and family members in the home. We always suggest slow introductions with other pets, sometimes 2 weeks or more to decompress and visit through wire crates is best. This visit is just for initial reactions, and to avoid any major conflicts.
Step 4: Pay the adoption fee, get adoption photo taken.
Step 5: We will check in with you in a few days, and if all is good, we will provide you with all your pets paperwork.
If you need to return a dog - You will contact us on 432-258-3581 and we will decide within a reasonable timeframe to get the pet, and all documents you may have back from you.

Out Of State Adoption Guidelines
Step 1: Submit the Adoption Application.
Our board will review your application. If approved, someone will contact you to move to the next step.
Step 2: Home/Yard Check/ Family meet
We will request pics, videos, of your home, and yard. We could also request a video chat showing these areas, and other pets in the home/property. We also could request all family members be a part of the video call. We will speak in depth about your home, and the pet in which you are interested.
Step 3: Adopter will pay Adoption Fee & Transport Fee which will be determined based on adopters’ location. We transport to certain locations. If you are outside our service areas, you will need to arrange transport with a licensed USDA service.
Step 4: Pick up your dog at the agreed upon destination, on time. You will receive all documentation and take an adoption photo.
Step 5: We will check in with you, after a few days and see how things are going.
If you need to return a dog - You will contact us at 432-258-3581 For out-of-state adoptions, this likely will be on our next transports which happens usually 2 times a month. You will have to keep the pet safe until we can retrieve the animal, this might also mean you will have to travel to the original location you picked up from.
