Meet Amando - Your New Best Friend!
Amado is a sweet Shepherd mix, just under 2 years old and weighing in at 45 pounds, with a heart full of love to give. His journey began as a stray on a South Dakota reservation, where he was found underweight and suffering from mange. After receiving the care and treatment he needed, he's now thriving, with a healthy, shiny coat and continuing to gain weight as he reaches his full potential.
This friendly guy is a gentle soul who is always wagging his tail and eager to be near you. He loves finding comfy spots to cuddle up and share affection, and while he may be a little shy at first, he's starting to open up, showing his true, loving nature. He does well with other dogs after proper introductions and once he feels comfortable, he becomes playful and affectionate. While he hasn't met any kitties yet, he could do well with dog-savvy cats.
House-trained with a routine, this boy is great with kids, though a home with older children would be ideal to help him continue to build his confidence and teach him good manners (like not jumping on people). He's also an avid walker and would make an excellent hiking companion for an active family.
This sweet, loving boy is ready to find his forever home, where he can continue to grow into the wonderful companion he is becoming. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate pup, this Shepherd mix is eager to share his love and join your family.
Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
