All About Me
Hi, I’m Jupiter! I’m a one-and-a-half-year-old Jindo mix with a soft white coat and a gentle, thoughtful nature. Weighing 15kg (33lb), I may start off a little reserved, but once I warm up, I become a loving and loyal companion. I’m looking for a patient and understanding home where I can take my time to settle in and show my affectionate side.
My Personality
I’m naturally a bit shy, especially around new people, but with a little patience, I build trust and form strong bonds. If we spend about an hour together, I’ll start recognizing my name and following you around. At first, I might keep my distance in open spaces, but in a smaller area, I’ll let you pet me, scratch my face, and even pick me up. Once I feel comfortable in my environment, I become affectionate and enjoy companionship. Since I can be sensitive to change, I need a little time to adjust to new places. But after about three days in a new home, I start getting used to my surroundings and feeling at ease.
Social Skills
I get along well with other dogs and enjoy meeting new canine friends. I can be polite and social, but I don’t always jump straight into playtime. I tend to be comfortable around dogs my size or larger, though very energetic dogs can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for me. I haven’t been around cats, so my reaction to them is unknown.
Energy and Activities
I have a moderate to high energy level and enjoy outdoor activities. I love my time outside, and getting enough exercise helps me relax when I’m back indoors. I can get excited on walks and may pull on the leash a little, but I generally follow my person’s lead well. With some leash training, I’ll improve even more.
Training and Habits
I haven’t had much formal training yet, but I’m naturally calm and observant, which makes me a great learner. My focus and concentration are good, so with patience and positive reinforcement, I can pick up new commands quickly. I don’t have any food aggression and share space well with people and other dogs during mealtimes. I rarely bark, so I won’t be a noisy presence in the home. I am potty trained and can use both pee pads and outdoor areas. I also settle well in a kennel when needed.
My Ideal Home
I need a patient and understanding adopter who will give me time to adjust. Since I’m on the shy side, I’d do best in a calm and quiet environment where I won’t feel rushed to open up. If you’re willing to wait for me to come out of my shell, I promise I’ll reward you with endless love and loyalty. If there are other dogs in the home, they should be friendly and not too overwhelming, as I prefer a more relaxed social setting. A structured daily routine and gentle encouragement will help me build confidence and become the affectionate companion I’m meant to be.
Special Notes
I’m a quiet and gentle dog who needs a little time to adjust but has so much love to give. My adopters should be prepared to let me settle at my own pace, knowing that once I do, I will be a deeply loyal and affectionate family member. If you’re looking for a calm and gentle dog who will blossom with patience, I might be the perfect match for you. I can’t wait to find my forever home!
