Meet Buckeye!

Buckeye is a curious, sweet-natured cat with big, luminous eyes and a tiny, soft meow that he doesn’t use often—but when he does, it’s adorable! He’s a little explorer who loves investigating his surroundings and showing off his impressive jumping skills (though he’s still learning that tables aren’t for cats).

Affectionate and engaging, Buckeye enjoys scratches and attention but is also happy to go on solo adventures around the house. He’s low-maintenance, independent, and adapts well to different environments, whether it’s a quiet home or a bustling one with kids.

By day, he’s a relaxed, easygoing cat, but by evening, he’s wide-eyed and ready for action! His favorite pastime? Stalking his beloved feather toy. While he’s not a full-time lap cat (yet!), he’s happy to be picked up and is always up for some affection.

Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to saving local at-risk shelter pets from the San Jose Animal Care Center. Our goal is to give adoptable animals a chance to shine in a casual and relaxed environment, and expand opportunity for adoptions, thereby reducing the euthanasia rate in Silicon Valley. The Dancing Cat also seeks to create a community of cat lovers by providing a place for fun social and educational events.
