My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COFFEE is a regal and refined Siamese-mix teenager kitty, with classic beautiful blue eyes and chocolate points. He has a silky-smooth coat as well. He likes to watch the shenanigans of the cats from a distance but often loves to play with soft toys and balls on his own. He is very dignified, in a polished and royal way. He loves to boop your hand once he’s decided you’re a friend, and will walk around your feet to get your attention. He takes a little bit of time to warm up, and isn’t overly fond of loud noises, but once he knows he is in a trusted space, he comes out of his shell. He especially loves a cozy, soft bed, and gentle chin rubs. Coffee came to the rescue with siblings ESPRESSO and GOLIATH, and while he would be ok being adopted on his own, he would be happy to be adopted with one of them as well.

COFFEE has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

All of our cats are located either in one of our adoption centers or a foster home. If you are in the neighborhood, you are more than welcome to drop by one of our adoption centers to view available animals. Our adoption centers are located in both Eugene PetSmart stores, Wags! Dog Emporium, and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
