This energetic, loving 2-year-old Siberian Husky is ready for his next adventure! Pocono is heartworm negative and brings the perfect blend of excitement, love, and enthusiasm to every moment. While he’s still working on his leash manners due to all his energy, with a little patience and training, he’ll be a walking pro in no time!
Pocono is treat-motivated and always up for playtime—he’ll happily chase a ball or run around with you all day long! And once he’s all tuckered out, he’ll be the best cuddle buddy, ready to relax and watch your favorite movies together.

HSSM is home to over 300 pets on any given day, most of which are looking for new forever homes! Your new best friend could be waiting at HSSM right now. Our beautiful, 41,000 square foot facility is currently open to the public. HSSM is open for adoptions Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary to adopt, however, adoptions are first-come, first served. You must come to HSSM to complete your adoption and make sure you bring a photo ID, as it is required to complete adoption paperwork.
Our adoptable animals page is self-updating and displays ALL of HSSM’s adorable adoptable pets from “pocket pets” to birds and of course the hundreds of dogs and cats currently calling HSSM home! See one you like? Make sure you note your favorite’s name and animal ID number so that HSSM staff and volunteers can easily find him/her when you come in!
Adoptions are cut off every day about 30 minutes prior to closing and possibly earlier if volume is high. Weekends are busy and you may have to wait more than an hour (especially in the afternoons) so please be prepared.
