Meet Oort! This sweet, loving guy came to Trash Cat with his five siblings and mom after being found outside. Oort is extremely friendly, affectionate, and always playful. He loves wand toys and little toys he can carry around in his mouth. Oort will even throw his whole body in the air to try and catch any wand toy. He is very used to getting picked up and cuddled and he gets along with any person or cat he meets. Oort has never met a dog, but he may do well with a cat savvy pup.
Because he is young and energetic, Oort would do best in a home with another playful kitty, or being adopted with his brother, Prometheus. The two of them love to wrestle and play together. They are the last of their siblings to be adopted and would do great in a home together. Both boys would do well in most homes including with families who have small children.
Oort is about seven months old. He has been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Apply for this sweet guy (and maybe his brother too?) today!

Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
