Mercedes is an owner surrender looking for a new home.

Hi! My name is Mercedes! I am a beautiful 6 year old flashy fawn girl that is an owner surrender due to changes in my family dynamics and they are unable to care for me any longer. I am described as friendly, active, smart, noisy, playful, and affectionate. I am said to be dog friendly and currently live with a 1 year old human and do well with him! I like to chase cats outside so it's probably best that I have a cat free home. I am house trained, crate trained, and at night I sleep on the couch or bed. When the owners must be away and I am left alone, I am sad but do ok. While outside I have good behavior and do not dig or attempt to jump fences/gates. I am fearful of loud noises but my favorite things are riding in the car, balls, all toys, running, playing, and burning off energy! My current owner says I am a "sweet girl" and am "cuddle buddies" with the other dog in the home and the humans. I also love going on walks but need a harness or I will get away. 1. Fill out an Online Adoption Application

2.Your application will be reviewed and sent to a volunteer in your area. The volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit within one week. There is a $25.00 fee for a volunteer to come to your house for a home visit. This fee is non-refundable, but will be applied to the adoption fee when the adoption is finalized.

3. After your home visit is complete and you are approved you can begin meeting dogs. The person who met with you during your home visit will assist you in this process.
