Animal Profile: Bud is a pint-sized cutie joining us from Modesto, CA on 2/13/2025. This little Chihuahau mix guy weighs in at only 13 pounds and has the most adorable lil under-bite. He is dog friendly and though shy at first, a total love with people.
Foster Update: Bud has settled in quickly and gets along with both our big and small dogs. He’s an energetic, curious and playful little bruiser. He enjoys fetch, wrestling with his stuffies, and exploring the yard. He also likes walks, even when it’s cold and wet outside, and isn’t phased by other people or dogs. We even ran into a friendly cat on one walk, and he just wanted to say hi! We’re working on leash manners, as he zig-zags a lot wanting to sniff all the new smells, but he’ll get the hang of it in no time. He’s great in his crate, but is good free-roaming the house as well when someone is home. Oh and he’s a HUGE snuggle bug!! His favorite place is curled up beside his human.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
