Meet Nellie!

Our nervous Nellie is a 5 year old mix surrendered to animal control. She’s not the friendliest at first meeting and took a bit to warm up to us, but once she feels safe she’s loyal and lovable. We think she’s a doxie/min pin mix with the feisty streak of both breeds, about 12lbs full grown. She’s been ok with most other dogs, and really loves a good soft fluffy bed to curl up and sleep late in. Because of her suspicion of strangers she’s looking for a low-key adult home without too many people coming and going and where she can approach people on her own terms.

Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
