Meet Nami, a striking mixed breed who is likely a delightful blend of hound, shepherd, and lab. At around 5 years old, she has undergone an incredible transformation since her rescue, and it’s heartwarming to see her thrive in her loving foster home. Surrounded by an amazing foster dad, two caring teenagers, and two furry siblings, Nami has truly blossomed in this nurturing environment.
Nami has a solid grasp of basic commands and is both crate-trained and potty-trained, making her an excellent companion. However, we want to be upfront about her high prey drive—she needs to steer clear of small animals, including little dogs. In her previous foster home, she had an unfortunate incident with a cat, so it's crucial that her future home prioritizes safety for everyone involved.
Nami's spirited personality truly shines, especially in her love for chasing squirrels. The eager anticipation is evident as she whines in excitement at the sight of one, ready for the chase! This playful pursuit showcases her lively energy. Despite this, she also has a calm side and is known for her affectionate nature. While she has formed strong bonds with her furry siblings, her assertive behavior towards larger dogs suggests she would thrive best in a home with confident, strong canine companions to guide her.
The ideal adopter for Nami should be experienced and confident in managing a spirited dog, capable of offering clear and consistent leadership both vocally and physically when needed. A proactive and involved owner will be crucial in nurturing her potential and ensuring her happiness.
At home, Nami is a gentle soul who enjoys a peaceful atmosphere. She is protective of her space and will bark when someone knocks or approaches, not stopping until she feels the 'danger' has passed. In general, though, she is quite a quiet girl. When it's time for adventures outside, her curiosity takes over, and she transforms into an enthusiastic explorer eager to take in her surroundings!
Although she has mastered many commands, Nami would greatly benefit from additional training and the loving patience of her new family, especially as she experiences some separation anxiety when left alone outside her kennel.
Nami has made remarkable strides on her journey, and we’re optimistic she’ll find a truly special forever home where she can continue to flourish. If you're interested in learning more about this wonderful girl or are thinking about adopting her into your family, we invite you to reach out! We’re eager to answer any questions you might have.

More about this rescue
We are just 2 people that don't have the heart to leave a dog behind when it's at risk of being injured or worse. So, we help the dogs that we can with the bare minimum of what we have to give. Our mission right now is to find amazing homes and better the lives that we come across, which is usually many. The quicker we get our fosters adopted, the more we can help! We usually have between 10 - 20 dogs on our property at a time so we have a variety of beautiful furbabies to choose from! Please help support us to help get more babies off the street ❤️
