Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Winston Guy. A nice lady found me near the railroad tracks in the desert. She tried to find my owners but with no luck so she turned me over to SCLRR. I am a mixed lab and weigh 75lb and am about 18 months old. I have a silky black coat. I am lean and tall.
Everyone I meet says I am super handsome and am a gentle giant. I love attention and like to follow my foster parents around the house. I know how to use the doggy door. I am house and crate trained. I know how to sit and shake. I sleep through the night in my foster parent's room in a crate. I am super excited to start my morning but wait patiently for my foster dad to open the crate.
I am excited to play with my foster sister. We like to play tug a war. She lets me chew on her bones but I tore apart some of her stuffy toys so my foster mom had to put them away. (It was just so fun finding that squeaky part.)
I am a pretty good walker; I do not pull much and love meeting people and dogs. I also love car rides though it is best if you have a barrier or if I am leashed because I would love to help you drive the car. When my foster parents are watching TV I love to come and snuggle with them. I am very affectionate so I might be good as an only dog so I can get all your love and attention.
My foster mom says I am very curious and I jump on the counters to see what is there. She tells me off so I am still working on that. I also love to jump up to get more love and affection but my foster parents are letting me know I must wait for permission. It is just that puppy in me but I am getting better.
My best home would be with a couple or single person who is home a lot or a family with older children since I jump with no cats. If you think I could be your furever dog, contact your family rep.If you are interested in making this Lab part of your family, please contact your SCLRR family representative.
If you have not yet applied with us, please submit an online application to adopt; an SCLRR volunteer will then contact you. Please note that your homecheck must be approved in order for you to be put in touch with the dog's foster home.
