My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ash is a gorgeous dilute grey and taupe tabby boy with stunning markings and a cute brown nose. He enjoys the company of another kitten for comfort, including his foster friend Brooklyn. Ash is slow to warm up to humans and initially keeps his distance. He has come to warm up to his foster mom, accepting pets at mealtime, playing with balls and string toys, and openness to snuggles when he is sleepy. He will sit on his foster mom’s lap or in the lap of the other humans his foster family, however still sometimes seems anxious when unexpectedly approached or when he hears loud sounds. Though he is getting more and more comfortable with the children, his ideal forever home would be one that is quiet and calm. He has made huge strides socially with his foster mom. Ash loves to play with pom-poms, romp around and play wrestle with Brooklyn, and will bat at and pounce on wand toys when playing with his foster family. Ash is looking for a quiet home where he can snooze in a sunbeam and receive loving strokes and snuggles from his family.

More about this rescue

Cat Tales Rescue NC is the nonprofit rescue arm of Cat Tales Cat Cafe, which provides a unique and invaluable avenue for adoptions. The Cat Cafe environment allows us to get to know each cat and adopter individually enabling us to set adopters up for success which leads to happier adoptions. Even previously overlooked cats get a chance to shine at the café. At the Cat Cafe, cats get adopted quickly, which allows us to be efficient and cost effective, but most importantly, cause the least amount of stress on the cats.
