Max is a very big boy weighing in at about 23 pounds at his most recent vet visit. He will benefit from a weight loss program in his new forever home. His previous mom gave him a nickname of Maximoose due to his large size. He needs to be adopted with his litter mate brother, Copper. They are 9 years old (born approximately 7/8/2015) and they are front declawed.
Max loves attention and will beg for it. He is a huge lap cat and he wants to snuggle on your lap in blankets and enjoys taking naps on the couch and has a favorite large pillow that will go with him to his new home. Each morning, he greeted his previous mom as she was getting ready for the day and enjoyed sitting on her lap when she had her morning coffee.
He will carry a toy around in his mouth and talks about it while he does. He loves catnip mouse toys and strings. Sometimes he will chase his own tail which is funny to watch and he will also play fetch with his toys if he’s in the mood to do so.
Max purrs every time you pet him and he will knead and make biscuits on your lap when he is happy. It’s best not to pet his belly as he will likely playfully bite if you do. He will greet people when they visit after he feels ready to do so. Max and Copper need to be the only cats in the house and they are afraid of dogs. They will also do best in a home with only older children or adults rather than young children.
Max loves to chase laser lights and Copper does too. Catnip is another favorite. Both boys love to sit together and watch the squirrels and birds from the inside comfort of their home. Max is a giant, loving baby. He will go to his new home after getting his teeth cleaned which is a huge benefit to an adopter.
Max and Copper love to be held, and sit on laps, and sleep with you. Max can sometimes be a “bed hog” and you may wake up to him by your head or between your legs if you will let him. Copper likes to sleep under the blankets and cuddle close.
