Copper is a handsome big boy (about 17 pounds) who needs to be adopted with his litter mate brother, Max. These two boys are 9 years old (born 7/8/2015) and were rescued by their original family as very young kittens found in a wood pile. They have been loving companions ever since. They are front declawed and must be indoor only (just like all Reuben’s Room cats). Copper has beautiful green eyes and he received his name because his under belly is copper colored.
Copper loves to be brushed and loves attention and playing. He is also a great hunter of mice, both toy mice and live ones that may sneak into your home. It will be important to make sure that all doors and windows are closed and monitored so that he isn’t able to get outside as he can be very curious.
He is afraid of the vacuum, fireworks, and thunder. He will do best a in a home with older children or adults only as loud noises from little kids are scary. He is afraid of dogs and these two boys need to be the only cats in their new home.
Copper recently had a hematoma in one of his ears so he now has a crinkled tiny ear. He will go to his new home after a dental cleaning which is a great benefit to an adopter.
Copper can be very vocal and when he talks it sounds like he is saying Hello. When they are hungry, both Copper and Max will be at your feet meowing and they will follow you everywhere until you feed them. Copper has a fun nickname of Copper Whopper.
These two bonded boys are very affectionate and they have a lot of love to give. When you are sad, sick, or just having a bad day, they know and they will want to comfort you. They are the best cuddlers with each other and with their humans and they will love sleeping with you if you will let them.
