My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper was born in November 2018 and she's 6 years old now. We got her from a private breeder. Just like any typical Shiba Inu, she's independent and has a cat-like personality. She's clean and had zero potty accidents in the house since she's grown out of puppy stage. She never chewed on any furniture, carpet, shoes and trash. She's good with chewing her own toys. She is not a lap dog and doesn't like to be held for a long time. Sometimes she needs personal space and doesn't like to be bothered or petted.
She never bit us or any human beings, but she does have a temper of her own. If she's insecure or feels threatened, she growls. We've been putting up with it just fine because we know that's her personality. However, we now have a toddler that likes to pet her and chase her around the house out of curiosity. Pepper runs around the table and hides under desks growling at our toddler. It's been a hassle daily and we feel it's unsafe for our toddler to run around the house anymore.
