My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DAPHNE is an adorable little solid black panther female teenager who is constantly purring! She's the smallest of her litter, but she’s spunky and resilient! She likes to shadow her foster mom, and enjoys riding around on her shoulder while she works. Daphne is fun-loving and curious, and wants to be in the middle of the action! Her favorite toy is a big paper bag. She loves other cats and is very comfortable around dogs and kids. Daphne and her siblings were born to an unfixed neighborhood cat, and went to live with their mom cat in a loving foster home when they were tiny babies. This sweet girl would do best being adopted into a household with another kitten or mellow young cat to keep her company!

DAPHNE has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.  To meet DAPHNE at the Cat Lounge, please fill out an Adoption Application for consideration at catrescues.org/adopt, and an adoption counselor will contact you for a possible meet-and-greet at the Eugene Springfield Cat Lounge, 537 W. Centennial Blvd., Springfield.  The $155 adoption fee ($280 for 2 teenagers) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1.  ID# 2407-C0269

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. It is available on our website: https://catrescues.org/forms/cat-adoption-contract/ A paper copy is available at our adoption sites. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet.
All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, have been de-wormed, treated with flea medication at intake, spayed or neutered, and have been microchipped and tested for felv/fiv tested.

All of our cats are located either in one of our adoption centers or a foster home. If you are in the neighborhood, you are more than welcome to drop by one of our adoption centers to view available animals. Our adoption centers are located in both Eugene PetSmart stores, Wags! More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for cats and kittens of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette, at Wags Dog Emporium on Coburg Rd and the Eugene-Springfield Cat Lounge. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. Cat Rescue & Adoption Network is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help Cat Rescue & Adoption Network save as many animal lives as possible.
