Hi, I am Jewel. I am a sweet, loving and gentle older lady looking for a home. I enjoy taking long naps on my heating pad and basking in the sun. I would love to meet you.

You should know that I have a chronic medical condition called hyperthyroidism that is currently being managed with twice daily medication. I will need to be on this medication for the rest of my life and will need more frequent veterinary health checks.

Another thing, I am a little high maintenance and I like to have two litterboxes around to do my business.

Don`t let this disuade you from taking me home though, I make up for it with my gentle nature and my love for being carried around to explore.

We will work with you to find the perfect match! We are using the Meet Your Match program for all dogs and cats in the shelter.

Our adoption fee for a cat or kitten is $ 25 - $ 150.

Our adoption fee for a dog or puppy is $ 75 - $ 500.

We also regularly have other companion animals available for adoption such as rabbits and other small mammals, birds and reptiles. Fees vary.
