My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bex is a Jindo mix who is about 4-month-old with a beautiful brown and black coat, currently weighing 4kg. He is Beth’s sibling.

He’s a social butterfly who loves people—whether he knows them or not! He eagerly approaches strangers, leans in for affection, and happily allows petting. Though he hasn’t met children under 13 yet, she’s so gentle and friendly that he’d likely do just fine. He is even comfortable being picked up with hands supporting his belly.

Bex’s love for making friends extends to dogs, too! He confidently greets new canine pals and invites them to play. He gets along best with dogs of bigger size as well. On walks, he sometimes pauses to curiously observe cats but easily follows his human’s lead.

With a moderate energy level, Bex enjoys outdoor adventures but settles down nicely afterward. He does well on the leash and generally responsive to his handler. He has no resource-guarding tendencies, whether with people or other dogs, and is perfectly content riding in a kennel when needed. He is currently used to both indoor pad training and outdoor potty breaks. Barely barks.

He was found on the street with his mother and siblings and were sent to a kill shelter for euthanasia.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.

Our dog rescue work depends on our flight volunteers. They help us safely bring our dogs from Korea to Vancouver or Toronto airports, where the dogs will find loving forever or foster homes.
