Meet Jackie – A Gentle Heart Looking for a Second Chance

Jackie is a stunning 4-year-old Great Pyrenees with a kind soul and a gentle spirit. She found herself in our care after her beloved owner had to move into an assisted living facility, leaving her confused and heartbroken. The transition to the shelter was tough for Jackie—she was shy, withdrawn, and unsure of her new surroundings. She didn’t understand why she was here or where her person had gone.

But over time, with patience and love, Jackie has started to come out of her shell. She has learned to trust again, though she still takes a little time to warm up to new people. Once she does, she is incredibly affectionate, soaking up attention and enjoying every moment spent with her trusted friends. She loves gentle pets, belly rubs, and will happily lean in for affection once she feels safe. Playtime has also become one of her favorite activities—whether it’s romping around with her dog friends or simply enjoying a quiet moment by your side.

Jackie is house-trained, well-mannered, and knows her basic commands. She rides beautifully in the car, making her a great companion for road trips or outdoor adventures. She also does well with children and other dogs, making her a wonderful addition to the right family.
