Hawkeye is a 7-year-old boy who was found stray and taken to a local shelter. He is a standard size with weight around 30 pounds. Despite being on the thin side, he is heart worm negative!

Hawkeye is the type of rescue where you wish they could tell you, their story! He is timid around the other dogs but can act out at times when he thinks he is threatened. One ear has a big chunk bitten off from some incident in the past. It is well healed and causes him no problems…you just wonder what happened???

Hawkeye is house broken with the use of a dog door. He marked those first few days after his neuter. It is hard on to have 4 males all recently neutered and not have some marking going on!! Hawkeye is crate trained and finds refuge in a crate. He is the first one to claim one at cookie or meals times. He goes in on command when there is a squabble. He is a well-behaved boy.

Hawkeye is sweet and quiet around people. Never pushy for your attention but welcomes every touch. He is good with kids and will make a wonderful family dog but will be happiest as an only dog. Please give this wonderful boy a second chance at living the good life surrounded by love!
